The Mantello Record is an independent editorial publication based in Troy, New York.
Mayor Carmella Mantello won the 2023 mayoral race on a simple promise: “People over politics, ideas over ideology, competence over cronyism.” This publication exists to measure her administration against that standard — incident by incident, decision by decision, vote by vote.
We are not a neutral archive. The record speaks, and the author incites. Every entry here represents our editorial judgment that a documented action by Mayor Mantello or her associates warrants public attention. Our sources are local news outlets, public meeting transcripts, and official city records. We link to everything we cite.
